Volkswagen is borrowing a page from sister company Porsche and will turn to the color black to sex up the soon-to-arrive 2012 VW Beetle--and to draw attention to a preorder program launching this year. The Beetle Black Turbo edition follows in the lineage of Porsche 911s augmented with Black editions, and the VW will sticker for $25,720, including shipping. Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder rated at 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, which is the same as the regular turbo Beetle--and VW's hot hatch, the GTI.
This, believe it or not, is the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. And it’s not a concept, but a production car that will go on sale in the USA from spring 2011. Nissan has released this teaser image of the Murano CrossCabriolet ahead of the vehicle’s official unveiling at the 2010 LA Auto Show next week.

It’s tempting to feel that BMW was actually trying to be controversial with the new hot 3-series. For a start, the M3 Coupe is dead. Just as the two-door Three is now the 4-series (confused yet?), the flagship 4-series wears the new ‘M4’ badge.
